Job Overview IBISWorld is looking for an experienced Front-End Developer to take the lead in building and maintaining cutting-edge user interfaces and websites that captivate and delight users. This role directly impacts how customers engage with our products and services as a key driver of our digital success. The Front-End Developer also supports back-end systems and databases, contributing to seamless, end-to-end solutions, working with a cross-functional team of developers, product manager, designers, and data engineers as part of IBISWorld’s digital transformation. This multifaceted role ensures variety, growth, and the chance to make a tangible difference for IBISWorld’s users. Key Duties
- Create, implement, and maintain front-end UI features and systems that deliver exceptional user experiences, grounded in customer needs and aligned with business goals. Work closely with product managers, designers, data engineers, marketers, and other developers to deliver cohesive solutions that meet strategic objectives and enhance business outcomes.
- Provide occasional assistance to back-end developers, ensuring seamless integration and timely delivery of end-to-end solutions.
- Design, develop, and optimize front-end applications to address complex, broadly defined problems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Operate within an agile framework to plan, execute, and deliver high-quality software increments on schedule. Advocate for and implement best practices, including test-driven development, comprehensive code reviews, and continuous integration, to maintain high standards in code quality and system performance.
As a successful candidate, you will have:
- Experience with Design Systems and Component based development. Practical experience with Google Lit framework is plus.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g React, Angular, or Vue.js)
- Proven experience in building modular web components.
- Strong Proficiency with cross-browser HTML and CSS programming, JavaScript, JQuery and MVC/WebForms.
- Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD.
- 5+ years of experience working as a technical contributor in a full stack environment.
- Tertiary degree in computer science or information technology, and/or related experience
- Experience with ASP.NET / .NET Core / VB.NET / C# using Visual Studio 2008-2019.
- Experience with SQL Server 2008 and higher (understand Triggers, Stored Procs, etc.); skills manipulating data in XML, XSLT, JSON formats.
- Experience with IIS and Unit testing.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to proactively identify opportunities for process and system improvement.
- Expertise in feature definition, design, and feasibility; demonstrated skill in estimating development time.
- Experience of the full web development project lifecycle, from client requirement gathering through to documentation.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize various responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines; flexibility to effectively deal with unexpected assignments, changes to workload or design revisions mid-project based on management priorities or client requests.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, especially with stakeholders who often have limited technical knowledge.
