The Role

We are looking for a front-end engineer with solid React.js skills to work with other engineers, designers and business users to develop, manage and maintain the architecture and integration of our platform and APIs with other front and back-end systems.

Your responsibilities

1. Application development, testing and support

a. Develop, test and maintain React.js applications.

b. Following coding standards, build appropriate unit tests and integration tests.

c. Writing and maintaining technical documentation.

2. Improving existing systems

a. Contributing to continual improvements by suggesting improvements and

b. advocating best practices for application architecture or new technologies.

3. Team collaboration and product solutioning

a. Collaborating with other engineers to explore existing systems, determine areas of complexity, potential risks to implementation, and understand application requirements.

Your skills

• Solid experience in Typescript, node.js
• Solid experience in React.js and Redux
• Solid experience with HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience using component libraries, like shadcdn
• Experience working in a CI/CD environment
• Superior communication skills
• Experience working in cloud, prefer AWS
• Familiar with Git workflows or Trunk based development flow
• Some knowledge of some modern software development best practices (TDD, BDD, SOA, Microservices, CI/CD).
• Solid understanding of software engineering practices and design patterns.

Ideally you will also:

• Have knowledge of repeatable automated processes for building the application.
• Have experience working in agile teams
• Have some experience with backend development

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3-5 years development experience, including at least 3 years React/node.js experience
