An exciting opportunity exists for a HR Business Partner / HR Manager who will be responsible for providing business partnering to an organisation, and/or business unit on a broad range of HR policies, programs and practices.

This role aims to manage end-to-end HR generalist services to the AustralAsia business, by translating the overarching people strategy into an implementable HR plan and employee value proposition.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Employee Relations and Industrial Relations

  • Act as the primary advisor on employee relations and IR matters, ensuring compliance with Australian employment laws and Industry Awards
  • Manage workplace investigations, grievances, and disputes to achieve fair and efficient resolutions
  • Update and maintain policies and procedures in line with Fair Work requirements and create understanding and compliance to the Group Policies and procedures
  • Review and update HR policies to ensure compliance with workplace laws and industry standards

HR Operations and Excellence

  • Manage payroll review and ensure employee records are maintained accurately and securely
  • Ensure proper documentation is retained for audits and workplace agreements
  • Manage the implementation of the HR cost management programmes
  • Conduct pro-active site related HR audits to ensure compliance with various HR processes, policies and procedures
  • Manage the implementation of the division learning & development programmes and in partnership with line management ensure the region has suitably qualified and skilled employees.

Training and Development

  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities, supporting career growth and retention
  • Conduct training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and develop tailored solutions
  • Oversee onboarding programs to ensure new employees integrate seamlessly into the company
  • Create and maintain leadership development programs for supervisors and team leaders.

Workforce Planning and Recruitment

  • Collaborate with managers to identify current and future workforce needs
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process
  • Promote internal talent pipelines by supporting succession planning initiatives.

Culture and Engagement

  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention
  • Champion a positive, empathetic and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the company’s values
  • Conduct regular surveys and forums to gather employee feedback and implement improvements.

Performance Management

  • Support managers in implementing performance review processes to drive accountability and productivity
  • Provide guidance on managing underperformance and implementing development plans.

Organisational Development and Design

  • Support the implementation of change and organisational development and design initiatives

HR Projects and Strategy

  • Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals
  • Lead and support ad hoc HR projects
  • Provide key metrics and reports to inform decision-making at the leadership level
  • Manage the implementation of organisational diagnosis and development initiatives to ensure continuous and optimal HR service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree Human Resources or related discipline
  • Post Graduate qualifications will be highly regarded

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years’ demonstrated experience in Human Resources in a mining and/or manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years’ experience in the application of Australian workplace legislation and modern industry awards

Professional Membership:

  • Cert IV Training and Assessment
  • Return to Work Coordinator
  • Australian Human Resources Institute membership

This is a work from home opportunity based in either Brisbane or Perth.
