Senior Financial Accountant

We’re a ASX listed cognitive science company on a mission to optimize the measurement of brain health to advance the development of new medicines and to enable earlier clinical insights in healthcare.

That’s why we’re seeking a Senior Financial Accountant, with ASX listed experience, who will work and collaborate across finance and the broader business. This newly created position reporting to the Finance Manager will see you provide invaluable support to the whole Finance Group whilst doing a range of activities including but not limited to those below, whilst ensuring compliance with formal statutory reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities, Monthly Tasks

1. Completion of month end duties which includes:

• Fixed Assets
• Leases
• Prepayments
• Software Development Cost.
• Consultants cost accrual.
• Commissions accrual.
• Completion of monthly general ledger reconciliations.

2. Balance sheet reconciliations.

3. Updating signed contracts report.

4. Working with the Finance Manager in the writing of Accounting Policy Notes.

5. Working with the Finance Manager in the creation, maintenance and reporting of historical financial information.

6. Preparation of half year and annual statutory reporting and monthly management reporting requirements.

7. Assistance with the ongoing improvements to Finance processes and the Netsuite financial system.

8. Half year and full year tax effect accounting.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification is required
• Accounting degree qualification

Experience

• Experience working in a Finance related role in a ASX listed company required.
• Experience in preparing of statutory reporting for an ASX listed company.
• Strong Financial Accounting skills.
• At least 6 years’ experience in a similar role.
