Our Kaefer Ireland site is looking for an Internal Auditor to join the team on Full Time, Permanent basis for our Kaefer UK & Ireland sites.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

The purpose of the role is to provide assurance that the Company’s risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively whilst helping protect assets, improving efficiency in operations, ensuring compliance with laws and statutory regulations and established monitoring procedures.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for internally auditing the UK and Ireland business, confirming compliance with all relevant procedures, regulations, ISO certification and relevant industry accreditations.

• Responsible for completing a schedule of internal audits with all relevant stakeholders across the UK and Ireland.

• Ensure all preparation, reporting and post audit records are complete, accurate and communicated effectively and in a timely manner.

• Maintain and monitor audit reporting, non-conformance, and corrective actions.

• Ensure proactive approach to compliance and regulatory matters.

• Engage with site Operational Teams and Management promoting Quality and Assurance excellence across all areas of the company.

• Participate in Quality and Assurance non-conformance investigations.

• Participate in Quality related initiatives as part of continuous improvement

This role will require regular travel throughout the UK and Ireland which will include overnight stays.

KAEFER Head Office is in Jarrow in the North East of England and there will be an infrequent need to be based there for a limited number of days each month. However, due to the geographical spread of our operations and offices, applications will be considered from across the North of England and Scotland where there is the potential for the successful applicant to use a regional office as a base.

Requirements of role:

• Good working knowledge in applicable ISO standards and 3rd Party Certification Bodies.
• Has experience of planning and conducting informative audits.
• Internal Audit accreditation.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Flexibility to travel across the UK and Ireland with overnight stays.
• Willingness to undertake training in specific sector and certification related courses.

Desirable:

• IOSH Certificate
• Lead Auditor Accreditation
• Basic understanding of technical equipment (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic.
