Senior Financial Accountant

Evolution is looking for a proactive, knowledgeable Accountant with great communication skills both written and interpersonal to assist the team documenting procedures and assisting in a number of areas, casual or 6 months fixed term contract opportunity available for the right candidate, immediate start. This role can be based anywhere is Australia, however Brisbane location is preferable.

Main deliverables are:

• Writing processes/procedures/policies for key accounting concepts (i.e., hire purchases, lease accounting, PPE, intercompany, consolidations);
• Establish month end timelines;
• Assist with completing tax effect accounting, statutory financial reports and tax returns;
• Assisting with bringing management accounts up to date;

The role is based not far from Brisbane airport, in Banyo with hybrid working available.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

• CA/CPA program and qualification.
• Strong experience working in a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize high volume of tasks.
• Advanced excel / spreadsheet skills.
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Strong analytical skills
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant
• Experience in people management (Desired)
• Experience in Board Reporting (Desired)
