Business Services Manager - Advisory Focus

$110,000 - $120,000 + super | Fully Remote (Australia-based)

Our client is an established Australian accounting and advisory firm headquartered in Brisbane, with senior team members working remotely across Australia.

They operate as a quality-driven, technology-enabled practice advising growth-focused SMEs nationwide. Structured systems, cloud-based platforms, and automation are embedded across the firm, allowing accountants to focus on high-value advisory work rather than on manual processing.

About the Role

This position is suited to a confident Business Services Manager who enjoys client ownership, advisory conversations and accountability.

You will manage a defined portfolio of SME clients, take responsibility for quality and timelines, and contribute meaningfully to tax planning and strategic discussions.

While fully remote, the successful candidate must reside in Australia to align with regulatory, time zone and client requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of SME clients end-to-end
  • Reviewing financial statements and tax returns
  • Leading tax planning and advisory discussions
  • Acting as the primary contact for your clients
  • Maintaining technical accuracy and compliance standards
  • Working collaboratively with a distributed senior team
  • Identifying advisory opportunities within client portfolios

This is not a heavy processing role. It is suited to someone who is comfortable operating with autonomy and professional accountability.

About You

  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Strong public practice background at Senior level
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships independently
  • High proficiency in Xero and cloud-based systems
  • Clear, confident communicator via phone and video
  • Commercial mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Currently residing in Australia
