Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to join our team in Australia. As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders to identify business needs, gather requirements, and deliver solutions that drive efficiency and growth. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical teams, ensuring that projects are executed to meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Process Mapping: Analyze and document current business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose new processes or solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate effectively with business leaders, project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of business needs and technical solutions.
- Solution Design: Assist in designing business solutions by translating requirements into functional specifications that guide the development process.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze business data to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
- Testing and Validation: Collaborate with QA teams to ensure that the developed solution meets business requirements, including reviewing test cases and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Reporting: Create clear, concise reports and documentation to communicate findings, project updates, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Change Management: Support change management activities by assisting in the implementation and training of new processes or systems within the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for business process improvement and assist in the implementation of solutions that improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Education: A degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in business analysis, project management, or a similar role. Internships or relevant academic projects can also be considered.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., UML, BPMN, wireframing).
- Experience with requirements management and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office).
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to work effectively with different levels of the organization, from technical teams to senior management.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Desirable Skills (Optional)
- Certifications: Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or CCBA (Certification of Competency in Business Analysis) are a plus.
- Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies or certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) is a plus.
- Agile: Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of database management, programming, or software development is a bonus.
- Visualization Tools: Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to present data insights.
